Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient receptionist to join our fast-paced surgery center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling front desk reception and administrative duties, including greeting patients, managing phone calls, chart preparation, and assisting with patient inquiries. This role requires exceptional multitasking abilities and a customer-centric approach to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care.Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries; route them to the appropriate staff members
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Verify insurance information and process payments
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
- Ensure waiting area is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Collaborate with medical staff to address patient needs promptly and effectively
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with healthcare software systems (e.g., EMR)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus How to
