Job Description
At Tails, we are more than a dog daycare — we are a structured, safety-first, high-energy environment dedicated to providing exceptional care to every pup. Our team operates with professionalism, accountability, and a deep love for dogs. Position Overview We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is not a passive receptionist role — this position is the control center of our daily operations, requiring strong multitasking, communication, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience Greet clients professionally and manage all check-ins and check-outs Answer phones, emails, and messages promptly and accurately Educate clients on services, policies, and requirements Handle customer concerns with professionalism and confidence Administrative & System Management Manage bookings, reservations, and client profiles using our system Ensure all dog records are complete Process payments, invoices, and packages accurately Operational Coordination Communicate continuously with the back-of-house team to coordinate: Dog flow (check-in/out) Feeding schedules Grooming and boarding updates Assist with dismissals, baths, lunch dismissal as requested Maintain organization and flow of the lobby/front desk Compliance & Safety Enforce all Tails policies strictly Assist with light cleaning and daily operational tasks as needed Who You Are (Ideal Candidate): We are not looking for average — we are looking for reliable, accountable professionals. Strong work ethic — you take pride in doing things right the first time Highly detail-oriented — you do not overlook important information Excellent communication skills (in person, phone, and email) Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Team player with a proactive mindset Able to handle pressure without losing professionalism Passion for dogs and animal careRequirements:
Prior customer service or front desk experience (preferred) Comfortable using computers and booking systems Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Availability for opening (6:00 AM) and/or closing (8:00 PM) shifts Weekend availability requiredCompensation & Schedule:
