Welcome to Healthy Foundations Group! We are a group practice dedicated to providing high quality adult, child and adolescent psychiatry and therapy services with convenient hours, short wait times, and a superior care model at our Bethesda, Fairfax, Washington D.C., and Westminster locations. Healthy Foundations Group meets our clients' lifestyle needs while specializing in the treatment of a wide range of mental health issues. We serve clients across the lifespan, ranging from children to geriatrics. You'll be on a team composed of psychiatrists, therapists, nurse practitioners and administrative professionals. Healthy Foundations Group, launched in Bethesda, Maryland in July 2011, offers competitive compensation in an environment that encourages professional collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit in our team members. The Receptionist (Patient Experience Coordinator I) works as a part of a team to provide superior patient care by providing administrative and customer service support. We're looking for Full-time candidate.
Administration & Customer Service:
Greet patients, schedule appointments, and take payments at the front desk Respond to client requests sent to the "Patient Experience Team" in our patient portal Answer billing and insurance questions from patients via phone and patient portal Respond to staff requests: make copies, print forms, send faxes, and upload client records to their electronic chart Assist with office upkeep: ensure the office is neat, order/stock supplies Coordinate team meetings: set dates/times, create agenda, order food Make and receive phone calls Interact with insurance companies, pharmacies, and health care providers as needed Take messages regarding refill requests, prior authorizations, and care coordination Report to and coordinate with Patient Experience Supervisor to accomplish any additional administrative projects that may arise Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
General Skills:
Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively interact with colleagues and patients. Must be efficient, organized, quick learner with ability to multi-task and prioritize. Entrepreneurial spirit with a "what it takes to get the job done" attitude.
EDUCATION
An High school diploma or GED with at least one year of undergraduate credit required. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Health Care Administration, or similar field is preferred.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Working in a medical office environment is preferred. Intermediate to advanced experience producing deliverables using Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) is required.
ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE
Approximately 1-2 months to gain familiarity with our practice, environment, routines, procedures, and full range of job duties.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Job requires a moderate level of problem solving.
INDEPENDENTJUDGEMENT
Work generally has standard procedures and instructions, but frequently requires deviation from established methods to achieve results.
PATIENT CARE
Job has some indirect responsibility for patient care. This typically involves communicating accurate messages to/from patient, provider, and/or a third party, delivering them in a timely manner and following up to ensure they were received and that tasks were completed.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
Primarily responsible as an individual contributor. Will NOT be responsible for the supervision or management of others.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must possess and maintain HIPAA certifications meeting state of Maryland and federal requirements.
ABILITY TO COMMUTE/RELOCATE
We are located in Bethesda, MD 20814. This candidate should be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
Schedule & Status:
Full-Time In-Office:
Day shift; 5 days a week (Monday thru Friday); up to 8 hours per day; $18-20/hour, based on experience Non-exempt/hourly employee
