Receptionist University of Maryland Medical System - 3.5 Glen Burnie, MD Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Requirements General Summary To provide a secure and efficient operations by directing visitors and outpatients to the proper areas within the hospital. Provide current patient and hospital information, as required. Mission The mission of Baltimore Washington Medical Center is to provide the highest quality healthcare services to the communities we serve. Reporting Relationships Works under the moderate supervision of the Security Supervisor, with administration direction from the Director of Security. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in public contact work desirable. Working Conditions Mostly light work involving sitting and reading for long periods of time and extensive public contact. Potential for minimal exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, requiring the observance of Standard Precautions and safe handling practices. Work Experience Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff. Ability to document incidents accurately with clear, objective information. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional in stressful situations.
