Position Overview The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is a key administrative role that supports the daily operations of our office while creating a professional and welcoming experience for guests, clients, and team members. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing calendars, maintaining records, coordinating communication, navigating multiple software systems, and supporting various departments. Success in this role requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position serves as an important hub connecting our team, clients, and guests while helping keep our office running smoothly and efficiently. What You'll Do Create a warm, polished first impression for every guest and team member Manage phones and emails with professionalism and efficiency Keep meeting spaces guest-ready and support internal events Process daily payments, receipts, and reporting Coordinate schedules, calendars, and event details across platforms Share weekly updates, event lists, and team communications Maintain organized office systems, supplies, and shared spaces Support team culture initiatives and celebrations Jump in where needed—this is a hands-on, team-first environment What Makes You a Great Fit You enjoy working in person and being part of a team environment each day You're confident using computers and can easily navigate multiple systems and tools You're naturally welcoming, positive, and professional You stay organized and focused, even when things get busy You take pride in being reliable and detail-oriented You're proactive Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Previous office or administrative experience required Must be 21+ and eligible to serve alcohol in Maryland Comfortable with light physical tasks (stairs, carrying materials, etc.) Availability for a consistent on-site schedule (Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM-5:00 PM, with some weekends and holidays as needed) Schedule & Perks Full-time, 8-hour shifts Weekdays with some weekends and holidays Overtime opportunities Bonus potential based on performance metrics About Herrington on the Bay Herrington on the Bay is an upscale waterfront venue known for creating unforgettable celebrations in a setting rooted in inclusivity and care.
