Cataract Surgery & Refractive Ophthalmology About Our Practice We are a dedicated cataract specialty practice committed to delivering exceptional care with compassion, patience, and attention to detail. Many of our patients are navigating vision changes and important treatment decisions, and our team plays a vital role in helping them feel informed, comfortable, and supported at every visit. We are seeking an experienced ophthalmic receptionist who enjoys working closely with patients and is comfortable in a high-volume medical office to ensure a smooth, positive patient experience. Willing to pay more to the right candidate with Nextech experience. How You'll Support Our Patients Front Desk Experience Welcome patients warmly and help them feel at ease from the moment they arrive Answer phones and patient questions with kindness and clarity Schedule appointments thoughtfully and help patients understand next steps Check patients in and out, verify insurance, and collect co-pays respectfully Help maintain an organized, efficient flow so patients are seen promptly Explain tests and procedures in a calm, reassuring manner Prepare patients for exams and help ease anxiety prior to testing Support technicians and physicians to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care Maintain clean, organized testing and exam areas What We're Looking For Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ophthalmology practice Experience working with cataract patients strongly preferred Comfortable transitioning between front desk and clinical roles Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first mindset Familiarity with ophthalmic equipment, terminology, and EHR systems ( Nextech ) Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented Ability to remain calm, kind, and efficient in a busy specialty practice Why You'll Enjoy Working With Us Supportive, collaborative team culture Competitive pay based on experience Consistent but flexible schedule Meaningful work helping patients improve their vision and quality of life Opportunities for continued learning in a cataract specialty setting How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief overview of your ophthalmology experience to our Practice Administrator at
