Job Description

Medical Center Pediatrics is a well established and growing pediatric office located in Bingham Farms, MI. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, high-quality care to our community in a professional and friendly environment. We are looking for a dedicated and personable Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice and join our team.
Position Summary:
The Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our office. This position requires excellent organizational skills, outstanding customer service abilities, and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional, and timely manner. Check patients in and out, verifying demographic and insurance information accurately. Schedule patient appointments efficiently, managing the provider schedules effectively. Answer multi-line phone system, screen calls, take messages, and handle inquiries professionally. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances; manage daily batch reconciliation. Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy and confidentiality. Manage patient flow and communicate delays with patients and clinical staff. Process incoming/outgoing faxes, and scan documents into patient charts. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Perform general administrative duties and support other staff members as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional demeanor and appearance.
