Job Description

Senior Center Receptionist Position Summary The Receptionist is the first point of contact for seniors, families, volunteers, and visitors. This position provides customer service, administrative support, and assists with daily senior center operations while creating a welcoming environment for all participants. Essential Duties Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls. Provide information about programs, services, and events. Assist with registrations, meal reservations, and participant records. Perform data entry, filing, copying, and other office tasks. Receive donations and payments and issue receipts according to agency procedures. Assist with newsletters, flyers, and mailings. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Support staff with programs, events, and volunteer activities. Maintain confidentiality of participant and agency information. Perform other duties as assigned. other various tasks to support senior center operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Customer service or office experience preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with older adults and the public. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
