We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, and rock-solid Receptionist to join our fast paced, customer-focused, and highly energized Shelby Township team! Must be able to multi-task and serve customers on the phone and in person within a showroom environment. Tremendous people skills are a must!
Responsibilities:
  • Answering phones and greeting customers
  • Performing general clerical work, filing, knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Other miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls, determine caller needs, and transfer as appropriate
  • Greet customers and notify employees as appropriate
  • Perform general clerical work including typing, alphabetizing, filing and document matching.
  • Other miscellaneous assigned duties
  • Consistent attendance at the workplace is required and considered an essential function of the job
  • Performs other related duties as dictated by business necessity or assigned by management
Competencies:
  • Ability to receive customers with courtesy, tolerance, and efficiency at all times
  • Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously
  • Good organizational and basic math skills are necessary
  • Knowledge of telephone console
  • Knowledge of general office machines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Clerical skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to work under direct supervision
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working a telephone console preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
