Job Description

Part-Time Position 7:30am-5:30pm Wed. Thurs and Fri. Required. High-School Graduate or Equivalent Required. Prior experience in veterinary or reception customer care is a plus but not required Back-ground check performed before hire Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the friendly, organized face of our animal care team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and our furry patients, ensuring smooth communication and efficient appointment scheduling. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where pets and their owners feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside veterinary professionals dedicated to animal health and well-being. Duties Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls promptly, and manage appointment scheduling with precision Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle financial transactions accurately Maintain detailed records of patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans Assist veterinary staff with animal handling of weighing, rooming or basic care instructions when needed. Facilitate communication between pet owners and veterinary team regarding treatment plans, follow-up care and general questions. Skills Effective communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Proficient basic computer skills and willing to learn practice management software and other apps needed for daily use in our practice Experience with pets and care activities including dog and cat handling and basic animal husbandry Excellent organizational skills for managing appointments, records, and financial transactions Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for animals meets exceptional customer service! Pay:
$16.50 - $18.50 per hour
