Job Description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for welcoming all parishioners and visitors, assisting in the successful operation of day-to-day parish office and liturgical activities, and providing support for staff, committees and others as needed. This position works collaboratively with the Pastor(s) and the Director of Advancement / Administration to move forward the mission and ministry of the parish.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Serve as the key staff member coordinating with aspects of the parish office Oversee all aspects of the ParishSoft Family Suite parishioner database Provide administrative support to the pastor, including scheduling appointments, meetings and events Know and communicate with custodians, groundskeepers, and other key contacts for each church and church property Know and communicate with Mary of Lourdes School especially the principal and building secretaries Assist with Ministry Scheduler Pro for lectors, altar servers, and other liturgical volunteers for weekend and holy day Masses, when needed Support formation, training, and leadership development of staff, volunteers and committees Calls volunteers to assist with office projects Provide support to the Director of Advancement and Bulletin Editor in all areas of communication Assist with communications with IT support including service and repair of computers, network, email, etc. Assist with phone calls and walk-ins for selling burial plots and communication with families over locations of their deceased family members Collaborate with cemetery superintendents and Director of Advancement as needed
Job Qualifications and Skills:
Education High School diploma or equivalent. Technical, Associate, or Bachelor's degree desired, but not required. Experience Three years' experience in an office/administrative setting Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Training and/or experience in office procedures. Proficient in general administrative skills. Proficient in the use of computers and software. This may include but is not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and accounting and census software tailored for church organizations Knowledge of communications methods including print and online Ability to clearly speak, read, and write English Live and project a personal lifestyle with Christian values.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
