Job Description

Overview As a hotel receptionist you are the primary point of contact for guests, managing check-ins/check-outs, room bookings, and inquiries to ensure a positive experience . You handle payments, coordinate with housekeeping, and resolve guest issues, requiring strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Guest Service:
Greet guests, handle check-ins/check-outs, and provide information on hotel services and local attractions.
Reservations & Admin:
Manage bookings via software pms, handle cancellations, and maintain accurate records. Whether taking a reservation over the phone or at check-in it is mandatory to get all information from the guest. This includes a phone number, email address and a mailing address.
Financials:
Process payments, handle cash, and verify billing.
Coordination:
Communicate with front desk, housekeeping and/or maintenance regarding room status and maintenance needs.
Problem Resolution:
Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
Safety & Security:
Ensure security protocols are followed. All shifts are required to walk through the property inside and outside.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or as a receptionist.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests and staff. Answer calls and texts from other staff and management as well as hotel calls. This is advantageous and expected.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and basic computer programs preferred but will train right candidate
Interpersonal Skills:
Friendly, professional, and patient demeanor.
Multitasking:
Ability to handle multiple tasks (phone, guest requests) in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility:
Able to cover any shift, including weekends and holidays, days, evenings, and overnights.
Typical Working Conditions Environment:
Primarily standing at a front desk, often requiring long periods on one's feet.
Sidewalks :
Able to shovel to clear sidewalks for guest safety
Laundry :
Folding linens and terry for housekeeping
Hours:
Include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays (We schedule by the month and not weekly giving everyone flexibility and planning)
Pay:
From $14.50 per hour
