Job Description
Laurie Animal Hospital is a full-service animal clinic and boarding facility located right by the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Sunrise Beach, MO. Just two miles north and three miles west of the lakefronts, you will be surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty of attractions to keep your family or self entertained every weekend.
Job Responsibilities/Requirements:
The veterinary receptionist must provide great customer service while greeting clients and patients, answering questions, processing incoming patients, processing financial transactions, and any other scenarios that require direct interaction. Computer literacy skills such as being proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidates will be expected to be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously while working in a busy environment which requires attention to detail. Other responsibilities include ability to spell/write legibly, willingness to learn, professional appearance (appropriate apparel worn while working), willingness to work weekend shifts, showing up on time to each shift, ability to calmly handle stressful situations and triage patients, and conducting work both independently and harmoniously in a group. Essential functions for this position include: answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, handling emails and faxes, entering data into practice software, preparing bank deposits, balancing cash drawer, maintaining cleanliness of waiting room, understanding value and communication of medical protocols (procedures, products, and protocols), collect/record samples dropped off by clients, preparing medical forms, gathering content for social media, and assisting veterinarians or technicians as needed.

As a two-doctor practice, we have been able to form a collaborative, experienced, and motivated staff consisting of multiple veterinary assistance, two receptionist, and an office manager. Our support staff has been with us for years and is professionally experienced in the field. We are looking to expand our current staff to meet the demands of our busy practice.
