Contract Bookkeeper / Receptionist Temporary Assignment A real estate investment and property management firm based in the Flathead Valley that develops and manages residential and commercial properties is seeking a Bookkeeper/Receptionist. Known for a hands-on approach and attention to detail, the team focuses on enhancing property value while delivering reliable service across a diverse portfolio. They are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations for 3 to 4 months. This role is responsible for both Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, as well as general administrative and customer-facing support. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy.
Why You Want This Position:
Competitive starting wage: $25 to $30/hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Part-time, Monday through Friday - 20 to 25 hours per week Short-term Assignment - 3 to 4 months
Essential Functions and Duties:
Provide administrative support, including customer service, phone/email management, and mail handling Manage rent billing, collections, and payment processing Oversee accounts payable, including vendor invoices, loan payments, and recurring expenses Reconcile bank accounts and resolve transaction discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities, including tracking income and expenses Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end/year-end closing and audits
Qualifications:
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Experience with multiple entities or property management accounting is a plus Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
