Job Description

Overview The Medical Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients within our healthcare facility. This position involves managing patient interactions and supporting office operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proficiency in office management systems, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Being a team player is a must. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in/check-out process. Manage incoming calls through phone systems, addressing inquiries or directing them to the appropriate personnel. Verifies and maintains accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Utilize office management software to update patient information. Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits for patients. Collaborate with healthcare provider to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs. Completes referrals and authorizations as needed. Responsible to keeping the front office and waiting room tidy. Helps with cleaning responsibilities at the end of the day. Skills Proficient in using computerized office management systems. Strong understanding of medical records management and healthcare regulations. Experience with EMR systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced office environment. Should be able to bend and lift up to 10 lbs.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Computer experience required. Customer Service experience required. Understanding of medical insurance required. Experience with Medical Records Software and practice management software preferred. Front desk medical practice experience required. Must have a working understanding of
OSHA & HIPAA
compliance.

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour Application Question(s): We have a full-time therapy dog who is employed at our office, do you love dogs? This is a Monday-Thursday 8:15- 5:00 PART TIME position. Are you able to work these days/ hours?
