Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Check Out Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-out process. Your energetic approach and excellent organizational skills will help facilitate efficient billing, payment collection, and patient follow-up. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-functioning medical office environment while supporting patient care and administrative excellence. Responsibilities Manage patient check-out procedures, including payment collection, billing, and insurance verification Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and financial policies while maintaining excellent customer service Verify insurance coverage and process claims related to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and other payers Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all documentation review and data entry tasks Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate care plans with medical staff as needed Maintain organized medical records and files, including filing documents electronically or physically as required Requirements Proven experience in medical administrative support or front desk roles within clinics or dental offices Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT), insurance verification, and health information management systems Excellent phone etiquette with multi-line phone system proficiency and typing skills (including 10-key typing) Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA standards Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry tasks Previous clinic or hospital experience is preferred Join us in delivering outstanding patient service while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment!
