Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our lively veterinary team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience. Your energetic approach will help streamline appointment scheduling, manage medical billing and collections, and coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to animal health and well-being. Duties Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls promptly, and schedule appointments efficiently to maximize clinic flow. Collect payments and handle medical billing with accuracy. Maintain detailed client records, including medical history, treatment plans, and pet care instructions. Maintain client relationships through personal conversations, emails and texting. Ability to gather medical history and decipher patient needs. Communicate with referral hospitals and other veterinary practices. Assist with animal handling tasks such as kennel management, animal restraint, and basic animal husbandry to support veterinary procedures Qualifications Previous experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and pet care practices is essential. Familiarity with medical collection procedures, laboratory work, and aseptic techniques will be advantageous. Experience working with diverse animals such as dogs, cats, or other species is a plus. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to handle animal handling tasks confidently and professionally. Experience with EzyVet Software a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability toJoin us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! Pay:
