Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate veterinary team. This vital role involves managing client communications, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal handling, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic operation. Experience in Veterinary medicine and animal husbandry is highly valued, along with a passion for animal care and pet wellness. Duties Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming environment Manage appointment scheduling and client records accurately Handle medical collections and process payments efficiently Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide information about services Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area Support veterinary staff with animal restraint, handling, and basic animal care tasks as needed Prepare and update veterinary records using appropriate terminology Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods for various species including dogs, cats, and equines Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Previous veterinary medicine background is advantageous Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners alike This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of animals while working alongside a dedicated veterinary team. Applicants should be committed to providing outstanding customer service and supporting clinical operations through their technical skills and compassionate approach.
Pay:
$12.00 - $18.00 per hour
