• Full-time We are looking for a Full time Veterinary Receptionist to join our practice in Bayville, NJ.

Originally established in 1975, we are a family owned practice. We like to work with our clients to provide a more personal touch which allows us to do the best for their pets in a primary care setting. All of our staff are true animal lovers and we treat the pets that come here the way we would want our own pets to be treated. This helps us create long term relationships with our clients who appreciate the friendly, non-corporate environment. A new receptionist would be part of a team that genuinely wants to do a good job for the pets in our community. As a receptionist you are the first point of contact and so the ideal applicant would be friendly, outgoing and compassionate. Duties include dealing with clients in reception, managing phone lines (often several at once), working with veterinary software (ezyVet) on Apple computers, processing payments, and coordinating with the rest of the staff, in addition to general office duties. The ability to multitask in a busy environment is essential, as is being proficient with computers. Prior experience working as a veterinary receptionist and knowledge of basic veterinary information and protocols is preferred. Flexibility with shifts and the availability to cover other staff member's shifts as necessary is also a plus. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
