Job Description

Job Overview Cross trained veterinary receptionist that can perform some assistant duties. Primary responsibility would be greeting and checking in clients, answering phones, and checking out clients once their visit is completed. Professional and exceptional customer service is required. The position requires practical knowledge of the operations of a veterinary hospital, veterinary terminology, basic knowledge of veterinary care, and ability to operate in a paperless practice. The veterinary receptionist must contribute to keeping the office organized, clean and operating smoothly and efficiently. Prior experience is desired. Position could be part time or full time. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently Answer phone calls promptly, provide information about services, and address client inquiries with professionalism Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle insurance documentation accurately Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information Coordinate with veterinary staff to facilitate smooth communication between clients and veterinarians Assist in managing inventory of pet care products, medications, and office supplies Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and laboratory record keeping as needed Requirements Previous experience in veterinary reception or a related pet care environment is highly preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal handling, and restraint techniques Familiarity with medical collections, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques is advantageous Ability to handle animals safely during kennel visits or client interactions; kennel experience is a plus Knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary critical care concepts enhances your ability to support clinical teams Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor; capable of explaining procedures clearly to clients Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us if you're passionate about animal welfare and eager to contribute your skills in a lively, supportive setting. $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
