Job Description

Job Overview Check-in/out hotel guests courteously and efficiently to obtain the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • To process all charges and payments according to the Front Office procedures.
  • Provide information to any guest or visitor inquiry.
  • Shift Timing is from 7 AM TO 3 PM.
  • Maintain cleanliness of building during shifts, including such tasks as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, painting, shampooing, food service, and much more.
Essential Job Functions:
Represent the Marriott brand to customers in a manner that fosters loyalty and delivers exceptional service. Operate all computer system functions in accordance with established procedures and standards. Answer telephone calls with proper greetings and professional etiquette. Foster positive guest relations both in person and over the phone. Maintain a fundamental understanding of rates, room types, locations, promotions, and walk-in policies. Process guest check-ins following established procedures and verify registration cards for accuracy. Communicate openly and effectively with the front office supervisor/manager regarding guest-related matters. Interpret reservation codes, field inputs, and special trace information accurately. Greet guests promptly upon arrival; register and assign hotel rooms. Provide welcome folders containing room keys, certificates, coupons, and refreshment center keys as needed. Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash transactions, and provide change for guests. Close guest accounts during checkout and ensure accuracy. Develop actionable plans that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely to address guest service deficiencies. Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to ensure all guest needs and concerns are addressed. Ensure the hotel entrance, reception area, and other public spaces are clean and well-maintained. Adhere to safe work practices, use protective safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Abilities and Requirements:
The following represent the minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform this job: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for working in a service-oriented role. Dependable with a history of good attendance. Proficiency in computer data entry. Ability to stand for extended periods. Calm and courteous demeanor with a focus on guest needs. Clear, quick thinking and concise decision-making skills.
