Part-Time | 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (with opportunity to pick up additional hours)
Pay Rate:
$20.27 per hour Join Our Team! Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring smooth front desk operations. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls, determine the nature of each call, and direct to the appropriate department or individual Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when necessary Provide general information about the facility, including directions and contact details Operate telephone and paging systems as needed Coordinate communication for residents without phones by directing calls to nursing units Respond to internal requests and assist in locating staff via paging system Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate offices or resident rooms Offer beverages to guests waiting for administrative staff, when appropriate Ensure all visitors follow facility policies and procedures Monitor front entrance for safety, including elopement risk residents Oversee visitor access and maintain sign-in procedures Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and staff Keep updated records including resident directories, emergency contacts, and key personnel listings Monitor presence of outside vendors and sales representatives Adhere strictly to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines Qualifications Prior customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Capable of making independent decisions in a fast-paced environment Apply today to join a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care and service in a welcoming environment.
