In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative duties. Your expertise in medical administrative support, medical records management, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be essential to streamline clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through efficient office management and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent front desk customer service and phone etiquette Schedule appointments, coordinate patient intake, and manage medical scheduling using systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing processes including medical collection efforts Maintain accurate medical records by filing, retrieving, and updating patient files within EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper CPT coding for procedures Assist with medical billing and coding tasks, including
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding, ICD coding, and Medicare claims processing Support office management activities such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing multi-line phone systems Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and health information management practices Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft for documentation review and recordkeeping Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining accuracy Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Join us in delivering compassionate healthcare support through organized office management!
