ABOUT US
Hudson Regional LTC Pharmacy is the premiere provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities in the Hudson Valley, specializing in supporting facilities that provide care of the developmentally disabled and others requiring ongoing care. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of those individuals by providing pharmaceutical stewardship with care, compassion and commitment. We are seeking an administrative assistant to join our team and help to make a difference in the lives of those we support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the pharmaceutical and other needs of our customers and patients are timely and accurately met, and that you provide the utmost in customer service and care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ANSWER
PHONES AND DIRECT CALLS TO APPROPRIATE PERSON. TAKE MESSAGES, REFILL REQUESTS, ADDRESS DELIVERY ISSUES. CODE DELIVERY TIMES AND FACILITY NAMES FOR PRESCRIPTION ORDERS. CHANGE ADDRESSES, SOME ADMISSION AND DISCHARGE FUNCTIONS. SCAN NEW PRESCRIPTIONS AND REFILL REQUESTS INTO PHARMACY INBOX AND/OR MEDICAL RECORD. CONTACT CUSTOMERS AND VENDORS AS REQUIRED. ATTEND TO WALK-IN CUSTOMERS AND VISITORS. TAKE PRIVATE ACCOUNT PAYMENTS, SORT & DISTRIBUTE MAIL MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. PARTICIPATE IN COMPANY PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES AS REQUESTED. PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED PRESCRIPTION DATA ENTRY TRAINING

QUALIFICATIONS
- We are looking for somebody who can demonstrate proficiency and productivity in a fast-paced environment and is able to pivot tasks easily (due to unscheduled interruptions), while maintaining good judgment. - The right candidate takes ownership over their actions and decisions, and understands and is responsible for the consequences and results of those actions. Due to the nature of the work, you must be detail-oriented and have good organizational, time management, and communication skills. - You must be proficient and have practical knowledge of personal computer use and the ability to quickly learn the pharmacy-specific software programs and other handheld or technology tools, as required for completing job tasks
