We offer complete dental care, weight management consultations, soft tissue surgery, as well as diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine cases.

Our staff is made up of friendly, caring, well trained professionals. Our receptionists will greet you personally and pleasantly, and our licensed veterinary technicians can educate you on topics such as bandage care and diabetic management. The highly trained doctors at Yorktown Veterinary Associates are dedicated to providing the best medical and surgical care for your beloved pets. Many of our staff members have been working with us for many years and as a team, we strive to make your experience at Yorktown Veterinary Associates as comfortable and comforting as possible.​Our facility has State of the Art medical equipment enabling us to provide in house laboratory diagnostics and digital radiology for top quality X-Rays. Our electronic medical records enable us to send important data to you or a specialist quickly and efficiently.

To learn more about us click here. Job DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to: Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area; greet and welcome clients and patients; answer questions and triage client concerns; respond to calls and emails and direct them to the appropriate party for resolution; schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow; check clients in and out; and process payments. Our receptionists provide friendly, compassionate, and discreet support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with a variety of medical outcomes.

This position will also be cross-trained as a Veterinary Assistant, providing opportunities to support the medical team with patient care, restraint, treatment assistance, and other clinical responsibilities as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in expanding their skills and gaining hands-on experience in veterinary medicine.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.

QualificationsWe're looking for:

Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience preferredInterest in being cross-trained as a Veterinary Assistant and supporting both client service and patient care responsibilitiesCompassionate, calm, team-oriented professional with strong multitasking and communication skillsHighly organized with solid computer and administrative skillsSelf-starter with a positive attitude and a desire to continually grow, learn, and advance your knowledge and skill setAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional client and patient carePassion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to providing an outstanding experience for clients, patients, and team members alike
Additional InformationPay Range:
 $18- $22 per hour depending on experience We offer our staff:
