There are two locations; one located in Over The Rhine at 1126 Broadway Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 and the second located at 5981 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45248. Position Overview:

This position is for a salon assistant, supporting daily operations at one or both of our salons. This includes front-of-house client interactions such as greeting and check-out, assisting with client communications as needed, monitoring inventory of supplies and materials, restocking, general cleaning, laundering salon linens in-house and other similar duties as assigned, observed or necessary.

Requirements:

To successfully perform this role, an individual must have a minimum education of a high school diploma or GED. You must be able to routinely lift up to 25 pounds. You must have basic competency using a computer and handling money. You must also be able to learn and operate within our salon systems and develop familiarity with the services and products we offer.

Responsibilities:

 Providing a warm greeting and farewell to our clients during comings and goings.  Notify service providers when their client has arrived.  Answer calls, emails and electronic messages.  Receive occasional deliveries and put away into stock areas.  Wash salon laundry in washer and dryer throughout day. Fold and put away when complete.  Check out clients after their service is complete using our point-of-sale system.  Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as lobby and client restroom throughout shift.  Communicate when inventory reaches re-order point and participate in occasional inventory counts.  Return calls to clients as needed such as notifying people on wait list of openings and appointment changes.  Ensure ambiance maintains standards such as volume of music, lighting and fragrances are being utilized as intended.

Compensation:

This role is paid an hourly rate, as agreed upon during the hiring process and outlined in the initial job offer. There are opportunities for commission for sale of retail products and referral of clients.
