Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and facilitate the check-in process efficiently. Conduct patient intake procedures, including updating medical records and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Manage front desk responsibilities by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries professionally. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Revolution or other EMR platforms while adhering to medical coding and billing protocols. Uphold confidentiality and security of all medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Assist with inventory management of optical supplies and ensure clinic cleanliness and organization. Promote a positive patient experience through excellent communication, retail sales skills, and attentive service. Experience, Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Experience with ophthalmology or optometry clinics is highly desirable; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential. Ability to operate EMR systems such as Revolution or similar platforms efficiently for documentation and billing purposes. Proficiency in medical office tasks such as appointment scheduling, front desk operations, and managing medical records. Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during clinical procedures. Knowledge of pediatrics is a plus for assisting with young patients' eye care needs. Strong organizational skills combined with retail math aptitude for sales transactions and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and vendors in a fast-paced setting. Bilingual or conversational proficiency in Spanish is considered essential. High school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu.
