This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience while supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of our medical office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to manage multiple administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting quality patient care. Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous, compassionate, and professional manner Manage a multi-line phone system, including scheduling appointments and routing patient inquiries appropriately Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and other required information Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars using electronic health record (EHR) systems Process incoming referrals, medical correspondence, faxes, and emails Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and office efficiency Maintain office supply inventory and assist with general administrative duties Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent phone etiquette at all times QualificationsRequired Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting Strong customer service and patient communication skills Experience using multi-line phone systems Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism Preferred Familiarity with EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, data entry, and typing Experience coordinating referrals and medical records What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be: Compassionate and patient-focused Detail-oriented and highly organized Dependable and professional Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment Committed to providing outstanding administrative support and patient service
