Job Description
About Us Nestie Play Studio is a Montessori-inspired indoor play space designed for babies, toddlers, and young children to safely explore, play, and connect. We strive to create a calm, engaging, and supportive environment where both children and caregivers feel welcomed and cared for. We are currently looking for a warm, dependable, and energetic team member who genuinely enjoys working with children and families. Responsibilities Welcome families and assist with check-in/check-out Supervise and engage with children during play sessions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment Sanitize toys, equipment, and common areas throughout the day Host occasional birthday parties and special events (child allowed not permitted on these days as it is a private event) Communicate professionally and kindly with parents and caregivers Help create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all families Qualifications Experience working with children preferred Receptionist or customer service experience is a plus Friendly, patient, and dependable personality Strong communication and multitasking skills Comfortable interacting with infants, toddlers, and young children CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain This position requires passing a background check prior to employment. Schedule Part-time position Approximately 10-15 hours weekly Hours will be split between two team members throughout the week Occasional Saturday availability required Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who brings positive energy, enjoys supporting children and families, and is excited to help create a meaningful community space. The ideal candidate is proactive, team-oriented, and dependable. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on role in a children's play environment. The team member must be able to: Safely lift, carry, or move up to 30-40 pounds occasionally (such as children, toys, or equipment) Stand, sit, and move throughout the studio for extended periods Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and sit on the floor to engage with children Actively participate in floor-level play and transitions throughout the shift Perform cleaning duties including picking up toys, wiping surfaces, and maintaining a tidy environment Maintain visual and auditory awareness to ensure child safety at all times Perks & Benefits
