Job Description

JPosition Summary:
The Receptionist serves as a primary point of contact for patrons and visitors of the District, contributing to the daily operations of the front desk and customer service functions. This position helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment by assisting community members with registration, memberships, rentals, and general inquires while ensuring accurate financial transactions and supporting facility operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide customer service and serve as primary point of contact for patrons, participants, and visitors.  Assist patrons with program registrations, facility/park rentals, memberships, and general inquiries.  Process financial transactions and maintain accurate records. Perform opening and/or closing duties. Assist with Swim Shop inventorying, stocking, and organization.  Participate in assigned community events. Update social media platforms, facility signage, and promotional materials as needed.  Assist with peer training as assigned. In emergency situations, provide support to lifeguards and facility staff.
Required Qualifications & Physical Demand:
Must be able to become CPR/First Aid certified within six (6) months of hire, unless already certified.  Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.  Requires prolonged sitting and repetitive hand movements. Must have basic knowledge of computer skills and office equipment.  Preferred, but optional: Bilingual Skills.
Work Schedule:
This position typically works 21-27 hours per week, and may work weekends and holidays based on operational needs. Shifts are approximately 6 hours in length, with morning shifts starting at 8:00 am and evening shifts starting at 2:00 pm. How to
