Summary 'Veterinary Office Support Specialist' is a vital role at Salem Oregon Animal Rehabilitation, where your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will support our mission to deliver compassionate animal care. Located in Salem Oregon, this position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that values growth and excellence in veterinary services. Responsibilities ' Greet clients and manage appointment scheduling with professionalism. Greet all clients with a positive greeting Answer phone calls, which may involve answering questions, screening for service needs, and scheduling appointments. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and e-mail. Strong computer skills Know the range of services the practice provides; advise clients & discuss services for their pets; Document and maintain client information, service data and other pertinent information within business operations software. Handle all cash, check, and credit card transactions Qualifications ' Proven experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients. Familiarity with medical billing and collections. Ability to work well within a team environment. Prior kennel or animal handling experience is a plus.
