In-Person Competitive Salary 6 Months Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day, Evening, Weekend Shift / Full-Time / Hours May Vary Description As the first point of contact for customers, the receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming and high-energy environment that reflects the Harley-Davidson brand. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership setting. The Receptionist is responsible for performing clerical tasks within the dealership to support daily operations. Their duties include answering and transferring phone calls to employees, taking messages and greeting customers and visitors. The receptionist needs to deliver exceptional customer service and provide an overall welcoming environment. The receptionist will also need to perform additional administrative office duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner
  • Answer and direct a high volume of phone calls, providing accurate information or routing inquiries to the appropriate department
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding products, services, and dealership promotions
  • Process basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling mail
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and showroom entrance area
  • Support the sales and service teams with clerical duties as needed
  • Manage customer waitlists and ensure a smooth flow of foot traffic within the dealership
  • Perform other administrative duties as required to support the mission and function of the company.
Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and office software, possessing the ability to type, use office machinery such as a copy machine, fax machine and other office equipment
  • A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
  • Interest in motorcycles or the Harley-Davidson lifestyle is a plus
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role preferred
  • Time management expertise to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner throughout the day.
  • Organizational skills to keep accurate records
  • Strong attendance history with punctuality being key
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Strong conflict de-escalation skills in order to deal with upset clients/guests.
