Job Overview Big Bear Dentistry & Implants is a growing, patient-centered practice bringing comprehensive, modern dental care to the community. We have invested in advanced technologies: CBCT imaging, laser dentistry, implants, and more to ensure our patients receive quality care without needing to travel. We are a small, collaborative team that treats every patient with honesty, warmth, and respect. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of building something great, starting with a part time role that will graduate into full time hours over the coming months.
This is a hybrid position:
your primary home is the front desk, but you are comfortable stepping into the clinical space when the team needs you. You understand your influence as the first contact for our patients. We hire for character with dental experience as a plus, but you should be committed to accelerated learning without previous experience. Your adaptability, integrity, compassion and drive will be key indicators of a good fit. Greet and welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the office. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document management. Assist with administrative tasks including proofreading documents and managing office supplies. Provide information about services, policies, and procedures to patients. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling patient records. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient office operations. Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that exudes integrity. Proficient in office administration and clerical tasks, including numbers. Familiarity with dental and/or medical offices is a plus. Familiarity and/or ability to learn insurance processes. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, including with internal contacts such as practice owner, general manager and peers through text. Attention to detail with strong proofreading skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with strong prioritization skills. Ability to self-start and motivate others. Ability to employ innovation and creativity to see things through. Familiarity with computers, filing systems and office software applications.
