Job Description

Rocky Mountain Transportation is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. We move people to and from medical appointments — dialysis, surgeries, behavioral health, daily care — and our work matters to the people who depend on us. We're hiring a Scheduling Coordinator who wants more than a scheduling job. This role starts on the phones and in our scheduling system, and grows into a real operations role for the right person. If you're sharp, organized, technologically capable, and want a position with a clear path upward, we want to talk to you.
Your responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls from passengers, brokers, and facilities Schedule and confirm trips in our NEMT dispatch platform Coordinate with drivers on daily routes and changes Handle reschedules, cancellations, and last-minute updates Work closely with our Operations Manager to keep daily ops running smoothly With potential growth into: Cross-train on billing, credentialing, and broker compliance Take ownership of administrative workflows Help us improve and automate our systems (we use modern tools — AI, automation platforms, cloud software — and we want someone who's excited about that) Step into an Operations Coordinator role with expanded responsibility and compensation You'll do well here if you: Communicate clearly and warmly on the phone, especially with elderly or medically vulnerable passengers Are organized to a fault — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch Pick up new software quickly and aren't intimidated by tech Use good judgment when things get ambiguous (this is the single biggest thing we need) Nice to have: Experience in NEMT, dispatch, medical scheduling, healthcare admin, or call center work Familiarity with scheduling/dispatch software Experience with tools like Google Workspace, GoHighLevel, QuickBooks, or similar The details:
Location:
Mostly remote - with sometimes being in person to show face at facilities, or potential meetings
Hours:
Flexible to start, with core coverage during Pacific Time business hours Employment type: Flexible — part-time, full-time, or contract depending on candidate fit
Pay:
From $1,500.00 per month
Work Location:
Hybrid remote in Coeur D Alene, ID 83814
