Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, at the Central Savannah River Area Veterinary Services (CSRA) where your energetic and compassionate approach will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this vital role, you will coordinate appointments, manage client communications, and support the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment that ensures every pet and owner feels cared for and valued. Duties Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in pets for appointments, surgeries, or treatments, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups with precision to optimize clinic flow Handle medical collections accurately, processing payments and insurance claims with attention to detail Maintain thorough records of patient visits, treatments, and medical history using veterinary software systems Assist with animal handling tasks such as restraint during examinations or procedures, ensuring safety for both animals and staff Communicate effectively with veterinary staff regarding patient status, laboratory results, or special needs such as animal catheterization or critical care requirements Provide excellent customer service by answering phone inquiries about pet care, appointment availability, or general veterinary terminology explanations Qualifications Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures enhances your ability to support clinical teams effectively Experience with laboratory procedures or pet grooming adds valuable versatility to your skill set Familiarity with animal husbandry practices, dog handling skills, and pet care routines ensures confident interaction with animals of all sizes and temperaments Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information to clients and team members alike Ability to handle animals safely during restraint or transport while demonstrating compassion and patience Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
