Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment where you can make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. We are looking for an outgoing personality and someone that is a people person. A great working attitude and harmonious relations with other staff members is a must.
Responsibilities:
Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar. Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally. Collect and update patient information, medical history, and insurance details. Assist with medical record management and filing. Process payments for services rendered. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow. Provide general administrative support as needed.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is highly desirable. Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and confidently. Experience with laboratory procedures, medical collection, or kennel operations is beneficial.
Skills:
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient computer skills for data entry, appointment scheduling, and record keeping. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations.
