Job Description

Position :
Front Desk Receptionist Type :
Part Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly, 20 hours per week
Reports To :
Operations and Technology Manager Work Location :
2210 S Brown Place, Sioux Falls, SD 57105
Position Summary :
The front desk receptionist supports the mission and values of the organization by being a welcoming, helpful, and professional first contact for visitors, guests, and volunteers.
Responsibilities :
Greet visitors, guests, and volunteers in a welcoming and professional manner Answer phone calls and direct the caller appropriately and accurately to voice mail or the staff member directly Ensure clients complete all required paperwork to ensure the intake process of accurate and efficient Notify staff of appointments after the client has checked in Maintain security by following all security procedures when granting access to the facility Schedule appointments according to office guidelines Receive and sort mail daily to distribute to the appropriate staff member Data entry, including information for federal, state and local grants Maintain overall safety, sanitation, and organization of the front desk and reception area Alert supervisor to anticipated or actual problems and/or concerns in a timely manner so that preventative measure and/or solutions may be initiated Update client insurance information as needed Process client copayment, coinsurance and deductible payments as necessary Take therapy center phone intake calls and discern where to schedule Enter clients into electronic health records
Qualifications/Competencies :
High School Diploma or Equivalent General understanding of medical insurance as it applies to outpatient visits Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Two years of experience working in a mental health environment is preferred Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others Maintain a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information Passion for the agency's mission Commitment to Solace's Core Values Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about and practice trauma-informed response and practices Individual initiative with a strong team-player mentality Excellent communication skills on the telephone, in person and via email Handle pressure with professionalism
Work Environment and Physical Demands :
