Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic animal healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and organized voice that ensures smooth daily operations within our veterinary practice. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment for pet owners and their beloved animals, while your attention to detail guarantees efficient appointment scheduling, patient intake, and administrative support. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression for pet owners and visitors Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up communications with precision and efficiency Answer phone calls and manage emails Process payments and maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatments, laboratory results, and medical histories using veterinary terminology Provide general information about services, treatments and pet care Handle client inquiries with empathy and efficiency Skills Proven experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar administrative role within an animal healthcare setting Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and pet care practices Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners, veterinary staff, and external partners Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism High school diploma or equivalent (required) Comfortable working with cats Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software Join us to make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
