We are a growing optometry clinic dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join our team and grow with us.
Position Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in setting a positive tone for their visit. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, compassionate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere Check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle patient inquiries professionally Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance and billing questions Collect co-pays and process payments accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area Collaborate with clinical staff and support team members to ensure smooth office flow Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and patient paperwork Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical or optometry office is preferred, but not required Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Team-player with a willingness to learn and grow with the practice Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Basic computer skills; familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required
