Job Description
Description We are looking for a welcoming and dependable Office Receptionist to support day-to-day front desk and office operations. This is a part-time position that requires regular onsite attendance and offers a minimum of 24 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours. The person in this role will help create a detail-oriented and friendly environment for visitors and employees while keeping administrative and office support tasks organized and running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors, offer a positive first impression, and guide guests to the appropriate person or meeting space.
- Answer and route incoming calls through a multi-line phone system while maintaining clear and effective communication.
- Keep the reception area presentable and ensure conference rooms are orderly, stocked, and ready for use.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries, including occasional trips to an offsite mailbox.
- Coordinate meeting room schedules and assist with general office logistics throughout the day.
- Monitor and replenish office snacks, beverages, grocery items, and workplace supplies to support daily operations.
- Place food and catering orders and provide support for team gatherings, events, and other office activities.
- Assist multiple departments with administrative requests and other shifting priorities as needed. Requirements
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, office assistant, or similar administrative support role.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Comfort using standard office equipment along with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to solving everyday workplace needs.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and handle light physical office tasks when required.
- Must be available to work onsite in Austin, Texas at least three fixed days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.
