Monday-Thursday 8:15am-4:00pm About Us We are a patient-focused optical practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and personalized service in a welcoming, professional environment. Our team values compassion, attention to detail, and creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to join our growing office. Position Overview As the first point of contact for our patients, the Receptionist plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth daily office operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, multitasking abilities, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced medical office setting, and can confidently manage front desk responsibilities while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Verify patient insurance information and eligibility Collect co-pays and process payments accurately Maintain and update patient records in electronic systems Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures Coordinate communication between patients, doctors, and staff Handle patient paperwork, forms, and filing Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area Assist with frame selection and basic optical inquiries when needed Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Be a team player where needed Qualifications Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred Experience in an optical, medical, or healthcare office is a plus but not required Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and office software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Skills Knowledge of vision insurance plans Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Experience handling insurance verification and authorizations Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply Benefits Depending on employment status, benefits may include: Competitive pay Paid time off Employee discounts on eyewear after a certain period of time Health insurance Paid holidays Supportive and team-oriented work environment Why Join Our Team?
