Front Desk Coordinator
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient front office environment. This role is responsible for coordinating daily front desk operations, managing patient flow, and supporting administrative and clinical teams to ensure a seamless patient experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrates exceptional communication and customer service skills while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced medical practice.
PRIMARY PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Office Communicate professionally and courteously with patients, physicians, insurance carriers, management, and team members Schedule procedures, and follow-up appointments Verify insurance benefits and calculate patient financial responsibility, including estimates, copays, coinsurance, and deductibles Answer, screen, and route incoming calls in a timely and professional manner Collect payments and process transactions with accuracy and discretion Complete patient registration and maintain accurate data entry within the EMR system Manage faxing, scanning, and document uploads in compliance with office protocols Maintain organized workflows while effectively managing multiple priorities Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to support daily operations Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall practice operations Assist Back Office Clinic, as needed
