Pastor Job Summary :
Primary function is to answer all incoming telephone calls, to direct the calls to the appropriate persons or take messages, and to greet people who come to the office and direct them to the appropriate person. This position also requires other clerical duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Answer incoming lines. Refers telephone calls and incoming visitors to appropriate personnel, and, if not available, takes messages. Greets visitors. Forwards the calls to and from Voice Mail Forward mail to appropriate persons. Order and distribute printed materials as needed (i.e., envelopes, cards, etc.) Advises appropriate personnel of C.O.D.'s, and packages delivered to the office. Help with general mailouts or other clerical tasks as needed Other related duties as requested by the pastor or office manager.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish (written and orally) Possess good communication skills, including professional telephone skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Knowledge of typing, filing and computer skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Ability to maintain clerical records.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
