This role is essential in ensuring smooth administrative processes, excellent customer service, and a welcoming environment for students and families. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves children, families, instructors, and community events. Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Customer Service Greet students and parents with a positive and professional attitude Assist with class check-ins, attendance tracking, and answering questions Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries about programs, schedules, and pricing Provide exceptional customer service and help maintain a positive school environment Administrative & Operational Support Manage student enrollment, memberships, billing, and payment processing Maintain student records, testing eligibility, and uniform/sparring gear inventory Prepare documents, forms, and communication such as newsletters or announcements Coordinate scheduling for classes, private lessons, events, and school activities Support instructors, managers, and leadership in daily operations Marketing & Community Engagement Assist with social media content, community outreach, and school promotions Help organize school events such as belt tests, tournaments, demonstrations, and open houses Build relationships with parents, students, and the community to support school growth Facility & Safety Oversight Ensure the school remains clean, organized, and safe Monitor equipment and supplies; coordinate repairs or restocking as needed Support implementation of safety protocols and emergency procedures Qualifications & Experience Strong communication and people skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient with iCloud services (Pages, Numbers, Calendar, Notes, etc.) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) Comfortable learning and using basic digital tools (POS, email, file organization, spreadsheets) Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Able to follow direction from Head Masters, Directors, and staff from other locations; must work well under supervision and be adaptable to different leadership styles Must be physically able and willing to take Taekwondo classes to understand the programs and culture Employee is responsible only for belt testing fees, unless stated otherwise Must be comfortable working with children and families Must maintain a positive, respectful, team-oriented attitude in all interactions Must pass a background check Preferred but Not Required Experience in martial arts/Taekwondo Experience working in fitness, childcare, or sports programs Previous customer service, front desk, or administrative experience CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Able to speak a foreign language (Korean preferred) Schedule & Compensation Part-time positions available, with the opportunity to move to full-time position in the future as our program grows Afternoon/evening availability is required Weekend availability may be required Opportunities for bonus and incentives as our program grows Compensation based on experience Free Taekwondo training classes About Us We are a growing Taekwondo school dedicated to building confidence, discipline, and strong character in our students. $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you interact with children and families throughout your shift? Do you have experience using iCloud (Pages, Numbers, Notes) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive)? If yes, please describe your level of comfort. This position requires following direction from head masters, directors, and staff across multiple locations. Are you comfortable taking instruction from several leaders? This role includes required participation in our Taekwondo classes so you can understand our programs. Are you willing and physically able to take a minimum of 2 classes weekly? Are you available to work evenings or weekends if needed? Are you comfortable learning and using multiple digital tools, including spreadsheets, calendars, and cloud-based apps? Have you ever worked in a childcare, school, gym, or youth program setting? This role requires consistent communication with parents and handling occasional difficult situations. How comfortable are you with resolving customer concerns calmly and professionally? (Very Comfortable/Somewhat Comfortable/Not Comfortable) Can you commit to working this job for at least 12 months? Are you comfortable maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including light cleaning duties? Are you willing to pay for your own belt promotion fees to advance your taekwondo training during your time employed with us? (Classes are included for free, however, belt promotion fees are not covered under benefits) Are you available to start your shift at 3pm Monday through Friday, and 7am on Saturdays?
