Optometry Office Assistant / Receptionist Part-Time | McKinney, TX Hiring a second part-time person. We are a friendly, efficient optometrist office focused solely on eye exams for glasses and contact lenses . We do not sell glasses or contacts, allowing our team to focus on excellent patient care without retail sales pressure. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Optometry Office Assistant / Receptionist . Position Overview This role combines front-desk responsibilities with clinical support. You'll be an essential part of the patient experience from check-in through pre-testing. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner Schedule appointments and manage phone calls Perform general receptionist and administrative tasks Enter and manage patient information using electronic medical records (EMR) Conduct pre-testing for the doctor (training provided if needed) Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment Qualifications Prior experience in a medical or optometry office is a plus, but not required Comfortable with computers and learning new software Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to multitask in a fast-paced but calm environment What We Offer Part-time No retail sales or optical dispensing Supportive, low-drama work environment On-the-job training provided Competitive pay based on experience Schedule One weekend day required (9-3 or 9-1) No evenings or major retail-style hours (Specific schedule discussed during interview) If you enjoy working with patients, are organized, and want to be part of an optometry practice , we'd love to hear from you!
