On-Call Position Summary:
Salisbury Country Club is seeking a reliable, professional, and highly flexible individual to serve as an as-needed Receptionist. This role provides essential front-line support by answering phones, assisting members, and handling light administrative tasks. The ideal candidate must be available on short notice, including occasional holidays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner Provide accurate information to members, guests, and vendors in person and on the phone Monitor and respond to basic email or administrative inquiries as needed Assist with reservations, event inquiries, or member requests when applicable Maintain a calm and helpful demeanor during busy periods Communicate effectively with club staff to ensure seamless member service
Availability Requirements:
Must be available on short notice (occasional same-day or next-day coverage) Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to fill in during staff absences, high-volume days, or special events
Qualifications:
Prior receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred Strong phone etiquette and communication skills Basic computer proficiency (email, scheduling systems) Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to multitask and stay organized Dependable and responsive to scheduling needs
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in hospitality, private clubs, or member-based organizations Friendly, service-oriented mindset with attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Compensation:
Hourly rate commensurate with experience
Additional Notes:
This is not a regularly scheduled position. Hours will vary based on operational needs, and flexibility is essential to success in this role.
