Job Description

What You'll Do:
This position is two parts: Your main focus area will be at the front desk as a receptionist. As a receptionist you'll play a key role in delivering the exceptional experience our patients have come to expect. You'll be the first point of contact—welcoming patients, verifying insurance, updating demographic information, answering phones, scheduling appointments, ordering contact lens, as well as keeping the front end well organized and running smoothly. The second area of focus is Technician Support. In this area you would provide additional support directly to patient care needs. This is to help ensure patients receive timely, efficient, and quality care. Duties in this area may include exam workups, auxiliary testing, and/or answering bells.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor Keep the front desk clean, organized, and patient-ready at all times Answer phones, schedule appointments Manage emails and voicemails returning messages in a timely manner Handle patient check-in/check-out, verify insurance information, process patient payments Maintain accurate patient records and confidential information Support the team to ensure adequate patient flow and coordination Explaining to patient our billing policies and procedures Perform technician tasks as needed; o Complete patient workups including, review of medical history, record visual acuity, measure eye pressure; o Conduct auxiliary testing requested by providers
Who You Are:
A high school graduate (or equivalent) with a professional, upbeat attitude Experienced in customer service or front desk roles (medical or eye care facility experience is a plus!) Excellent communicator—both in person and over the phone Tech-savvy with basic knowledge of scheduling software and office tools Calm under pressure, highly organized, and detail-oriented Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
