Job Description

The Office Support and Security Receptionist is responsible to greet and check-in visitors at the BP Cherry Point Refinery administrative office. Performing access control is a core function to ensure the safety and security of the building entrance and secured reception area. The position will also receive additional training to become a licensed Security Officer. Excellent customer service is an important requirement as this role interacts daily with members of the public, employees and the client leadership team. Successful candidates must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a competency using Microsoft 365 applications. The ideal candidate can handle multiple tasks, is detail oriented, and possesses the skills and mindset to manage confrontational people, stressful situations and emergency situations. As the first point of contact for visitors and employees, presenting a professional appearance and communicating effectively is essential for this position. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, with the potential for occasional overtime opportunities. • Applicable security license and fingerprinting fees will be paid by the employer.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Valid state driver's license Prior experience in a public facing administrative role, and/or customer-centric security position is preferred or 2 years of related work experience. Per regulatory requirements, a Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC) is required, or able to obtain . Due to the security related duties, a State of Washington Unarmed Security Guard License is required, or able to obtain . Strong decision making and incident/crisis management skills Ability to speak, write and comprehend the English language, and apply written and verbal policies/procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide customer service to the client by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Maintain workplace security within the administrative building reception lobby by controlling access and following safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service to greet and welcome visitors and employees as they arrive or depart the office. Check-in visitors using an access control/badging application, maintain visitor logs, conduct security screenings and notify appropriate escort personnel. Conduct access control audits and generate reports. Manage the VoIP telephone switchboard to answer and forward calls in a professional and courteous manner. Use Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams). Ensure work area is clean and organized and manage office supply inventory. Assist in mail room services by receiving, shipping and sorting mail. Perform administrative support tasks such as compiling and tracking both historical and statistical data to generate reports. Operate various office equipment and complete clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, email correspondence, scanning and faxing. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Participate in safety, security, and workplace violence training and certifications. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with all coworkers, supervisors, site management, client and contract company representatives.
PAY & BENEFITS
This position starts at $22.86.
