Dog Bather/Receptionist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with pet owners to deliver a positive experience and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and care for our furry clients. Duties Bathe, rinse, and dry pets according to established grooming protocols. Brush and comb pets to remove tangles, mats, and loose hair. Trim nails and clean ears as part of the grooming process. Monitor the behavior of pets during bathing to ensure their safety and comfort. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing equipment after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and any concerns observed during grooming. Assist in handling pets during their visits, ensuring they are calm and comfortable throughout the grooming process. Experience Ideal candidates will possess the following skills: Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for pet owners. Experience in animal handling, demonstrating comfort with various breeds and temperaments. Background as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus but not required. Familiarity with dog handling or training techniques is beneficial. Experience in pet sitting or working in a kennel setting is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, especially with larger breeds or equipment.
