Job Description

We are seeking a warm, organized, and proactive Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the face of our practice, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for patients while managing a range of front office tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of efficiently supporting both clinical and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Welcome all visitors and patients to the practice, providing a friendly and informative first impression Provide information about clinic features and services Answer, screen, and route incoming calls; take and relay messages as needed Check-in new patients and collect general information during their first visit Notify clinicians of patient arrival and readiness Make appointments for returning patients and assist with scheduling changes Print or reprint appointment reminders and provide school/work excuses as necessary Update patient charts and records accurately and promptly Insurance & Financial Coordination Verify patient insurance information and resolve discrepancies proactively Present contracts to patients and coordinate payment arrangements Accept payments and accurately post them to patient accounts Support account resolution and patient financial questions as needed Administrative & Office Support Receive, store, and distribute incoming shipments and mail Communicate office supply needs to the Practice Director for monthly ordering Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and patient waiting area Marketing & Patient Engagement Drive internal marketing initiatives and foster team participation
Qualifications:
Front desk experience preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance processes, and scheduling software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional demeanor and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care Willingness to work as required
Work Schedule & Benefits:
Schedule is Mon to Thurs from 7:30am to 4:30pm dental coverage
